The unfortunate incursions of trouble-maker and troll visitors to this board with their immaturity and inappropriate posts has forced the addition of rules to the Stormhammer board just as they have on many other EQ community boards. We are sure that those of you who do not fit into the aforementioned category of visitors will understand the need for these rules. For 99% of you, these rules won’t affect you at all anyway. It is that other 1% that are going to dislike this because they won’t have the freedom that they once had.

Any post that is added after the date and time of the posted rules will mean that you agree to the these new rules.
Remember, you are either a guest here, in which case act like one, or you are a member of the Stormhammer community and as such treat your fellow members and guests with the same respect and courtesy as you would like shown to you.
1) If you start a flame thread in any other forum than Rants and Flames forum set up just for that, the administrator or moderators will move it to the correct forum or just delete it. Repeated violations of this rule will lead to your being banned.
2) If you reply with a flame in any other forum than Rants and Flames forum, the administrator or moderators will delete it. Repeated violation of this rule will lead to your being banned.
3) Anything deemed sexually or racially discriminating, or of an equally offensive nature will be deleted and the administrator and moderators may choose to ban the author, except in the Rants and Flames forum.
4) Adult material will NOT be tolerated. Pornographic stories, pictures, signatures, violent stories, etc. are NOT allowed. Post them and they will be deleted. ANY violation of this rule will lead to your being banned.
5) The board administrators and moderators have the authority and responsibility, to ensure the integrity of this board, to move, delete, and/or modify posts and threads and/or ban anyone who violates that integrity or these rules without giving an explanation.
6) The board administrators and moderators reserve the right to add/change/remove rules whenever they deem it necessary. When new rules are added and the date of a new post is after the new rules date, you are agreeing to the new posted/updated rules.
7) There is a proper forum for every post. If a topic is posted in one forum when there is obviously a better forum for that post, such as a suggestion being posted in a General Discussion forum instaed of the /OOC & Suggestions forum, the moderators will move the post to the appropriate forum.
8) The buying and selling of characters or items for real cash, or the transfer of an account from the original owner to another person, whether for real cash or for in game compensation, is addressed in the EverQuest EULA as being a violation of the agreement and as such is not supported by this board. Any posts put on this board for that purpose will be either deleted or moved to the private archives for future reference. Repeated offenders will be banned. *Added 08/04/02 *Edited 11/16/02 to include the transfer of accounts.
9) Spam attacks of ANY kind, whether malicious in nature or for fun. I.E. several replies one after the other, trying to get your name on every thread, etc. This is a bannable offense, each dealt with by the admin/mod who in on at the time. * Added 08/30/02
10) People who post with multiple accounts can and will be exposed, if these accounts are used to start flames or arguments on this board. IP info will not be revealed, but an identity post will be created in the arena that exposes multiple accounts that come from the same IP address.

In addition to those rules, moderators may remove signatures that don't meet the posted ruleset or that violate any of the general rules, or they may turn signatures off entirely in particular forums.

Banning problems or questions will NOT be discussed in the forums and any such posts will be deleted without explanation nor response. If you have a problem or question concerning a banning you may discuss it by sending an email to one of the administrators or moderators.
Attempting to circumvent a ban will open up additional consequences.
